My Poison
I sipped the poison in the glass.
That final drink may be my last.
I watch slowly as you cruelly laugh.
No one to smite you on my behalf.
I clench my heart in tremendous pain.
With it tightening and tightening like a coiling chain.
She holds in her hand my only cure.
All thoughts gone of you once pure.
On my knees I fall, with echoing noise.
I shall not bow down like your other toys.
I always knew you were deep, cold and dark.
But I foolishly thought, that you had a heart.
My vision so hazy. The world is a blur.
To continue to live. Nothing more I prefer.
My eyes tear up as I cough up more blood.
And I fall to the ground with an empty thud.
